My car has a set (of yet uncurbed) SSR GT-1s that I am very fond of. As you know these wheels are no longer being manufactured. The Bridgestone Potenzas on these rims are looing sad and I thought that while I am in the process of replacing tires I could as well have the wheels repainted (re-powder coated). There is a shop in Atlanta near my residence that will do it plus install the tires (I would have to have Tire Rack ship to them). The coating on these rims is self-ejecting, turning some areas into eyesores.
I would like to inquire from forum members who may have had this done, what the results have been. In my experience there seems to be something almost magical about factory finishes. Typically aftermarket stuff is never quite as good.
